Can You Be AAAHC Survey-Ready in One Day? Yes—Here’s How with Nicole Brown lead consultant and owner of Accredia Surgery Center Accreditation Consulting

“I help healthcare leaders feel prepared, empowered, and peaceful by offering smart systems, a sense of calm, and strategic clarity.”

If you choose AAAHC accreditation for your surgery center and a survey is around the corner—or worse, already scheduled—you may be wondering:

Can we get ready in one day?

Surprisingly, yes—you can.
With the right tools, focused team effort, and expert guidance, it’s entirely possible to get your center into compliance fast and avoid costly deficiencies.

The Secret? You Don’t Have to Start from Scratch

Most centers already have pieces in place: a few policies, logs, training documents. The problem is pulling everything together in a way that matches current AAAHC standards.

That’s where our done-for-you tools and on-demand video training channel come in handy.

✅ What You Can Do in One Day with the Right Help:

  1. Download and Organize Your Policies
Grab our policy and procedure manuals. Infection control, credentialing, emergency prep, QI—we’ve got it all. Customize them to fit your center and print or upload immediately.
  2. Watch Targeted Training Videos for Quick Team Prep
Use our video subscription channel to train your staff on exactly what surveyors will ask. No guessing, no Googling. Just click, watch, and apply.
  3. Use Our Compliance Calendar to Prioritize
Our downloadable calendar outlines what you should be doing monthly, quarterly, and annually. You’ll instantly see what’s missing and what needs documentation fast.
  4. Run a Self-Mock Survey
Use our mock survey checklist to do a walk-through of your own facility. You’ll identify and fix issues like expired meds, missing documentation, unlabeled supplies, or incomplete logs—before a real surveyor sees them.

Who This Works For

✅ Centers who already operate safely but need to organize and polish
✅ Facilities under tight deadlines due to surprise inspections or license renewal
✅ Teams who can divide and conquer the prep work in one focused day
✅ Leaders ready to use proven resources instead of wasting time recreating documents

Don’t Panic—Get Prepared

If you’ve got 24 hours, a couple of motivated team members, and access to the right resources, you absolutely can be survey-ready in a day. Our clients do it all the time—with tools that work and expert guidance when it counts.

Policy and Procedure Manual for Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Download ASC Policy and Procedure Manual

The ambulatory surgery center or office based surgery center must adopt, employ, and regulate policies and procedures of the center. This process will be in the form of what is called the Policy and Procedure Manual. The surgery center policy and procedure manual must have a written policy that dictates the procedure for all aspects of the center. This manual will be considered the nucleus of the center. The surgery center policy and procedure manual will describe characteristics and functions of the center and compliancy to situations to the attainment of quality patient care.

Surgery center policies and procedures are never ending. When you purchase your accreditation organization of choice standards manual, in it you will be provided with the core standard chapters in which you have to meet. While viewing the core standard chapters you get an idea of what policies your surgery center will need to adopt. Unfortunately I wish at the back of the standards manual they provide you with a list of each and every policy you need to have, but they don’t. Accredia.shop has prepared all of the ASC Policy and Procedures that are easily downloadable.  The good news is when you are reading the core standard chapters or the Medicare Guidelines; you can get a good feel for the policies you need to adopt. Also refer to the index portion of the accreditation standards manual; I look at the index as a baseline for what you need and I prepared it in an easy download.  Accredia’s has every policy and procedure that is current. In some circumstances the standards manual and Medicare  Guidelines do mention some policies you need to have. Remember when they mention a policy make sure you have policies that cover all aspects of the subject. This way it will equip you with information you need to have written on hand and available to show.
